Do you have a strong commitment to developing sport and physical activity? We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Community Sports Coach to work across Kirklees to deliver a range of sessions designed to get young people more active and improve their health and wellbeing. 

Some of the areas of work will include:
 

• Delivering activities within schools such as PE/Sport sessions, CPD workshops, competitions and special school events

• Supporting other community based sessions such as youth work/play programmes and school holiday provision

• Monitoring and evaluating sessions

• Working with other agencies to best meet the needs of the customer

• Mentoring young people, volunteers and casual workers

The person we are looking for should have a real belief in the importance of sport and play to individuals and communities and have: 

 

• A flexible, enthusiastic, 'can do' approach and the ability to deliver a diverse work programme

• A minimum Level 2 coaching qualification, or equivalent, and experience

• Experience of working with young people 

• The ability to communicate well with a wide variety of partners
