On Sunday 23rd October, our Thornhill Lees Juniors played 2 football matches against Golcar Juniors from Huddersfield. This was the first game for our newly established teams and the games had over 120 people attending. The day was a real success and the local community have really got on board with the project and showed their support.

Both games were evenly contested with our under 9’s losing 2-1 (Scorer Mohsin Bulbulia) and our under 11’s winning 5-3 (Scorer Zain Amin x 5). The games have given everyone connected with the project a real sense of belief and everyone is looking forward to our next game.
